The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

If you’re looking for a runner that’s prepared for whatever conditions may prevail and at a fair price, look no further than Serenade a Kitten (5-1) in today’s sixth event.

Claimed by Rohan Crichton from Mary Eppler two back is ideal as this barn bats at a 25% rate second time off the claim.

Not only that but Crichton shielded him in his first start but entering starter company now shows confidence but jumping the 4-year-old up in claiming price fairly significantly and names Tyler Gaffalione to seal the deal.

If the race stays on turf, great: ‘Kitten’ is 4-for-5 on the Hallandale lawn and a four-time winner at the trip. If the race is re-scheduled to Tapeta track, ‘Kitten’s’ figures are a tad faster and more consistent than any of her rivals.

The clincher is her latest in which, sensing the slow pace, she was forced into a mid-race run, challenged briefly then tired. It was her first run in six weeks, now she’s back in three for a barn that’s winning at a profitable 24% clip in recent months.

Check it to see if you agree: Gulfstream Park, MAR 12, Race 5. We see improvement whatever the surface.

Taking Serenade a Kitten to win at 7-2 or greater and making quinellas with Alpha Babe (4-1) and Passion Plus (7-2).
