SECONDARY ALLOWANCES Race 8
The Skinny: Highly Motivated (5-2) will benefit from season’s debut. Raced between rivals 3-4 wide, angled 7-wide entering straight and finished well through stretch… Uncoupled Chad Stage Raider (7-2) also was surrounded throughout, finishing with interest when clear; broke maiden here… The Reds (6-1) was slow to get rolling, saved ground throughout, changed leads late and was going well at the finish. Too Boss (5-1) had a good trip and a laudable second in fast, Big A two-turner. Both wins around one turn.

The Skinny: Haughty (5-2) was a very good third in G1 BC Juvenile Fillies Turf; class relief in sophomore debut. Derrynane (7-2) finished like a wild horse at KEE going 5-1/2F; pedigree wants this added ground. Champagne Poetry (30-1) has conditioning from synth route last out and was very competitive in career debut sprinting on turf at Aqueduct.

Temple City Terror (3-1) has won half of n her four starts here and also scored at the trip Beschizza sticks…Luck Money (7-2) from barn having profitable 26% year that adds blinkers; LAY 2 and drops from graded ranks. La Lune (8-1) also escapes graded company, needed last with blinkers now removed; just missed this trip at demanding KD and attracts Leparoux

I needed Derrynane to win last time out as my single in the late pick 5-4-3 and double. Joel rode her way too confidently. I don’t think he will do that today especially knowing Haughty will be closing late.
Derrynane was terrible but we were saved when the price became unbetable following the scratch of Haughty. Unfortunately, used her with Ward filly that was bet off the board and was never in a position to root. It happens, tough game.
Speaking of which, needed the longer Chad beaten a nose by odds-on Chad. Grrrr!
