BROWER IN THE BIKE

Race 1 Review —

PRECIOUS BLUE CHIP – In from New York for a big track try, but it’s been a long time since he won. I’ll pass.
2 SANATTLE SLEW – One of the possibilities in this wide-open race. Dexter was listed, but many drivers not back from
the Meadows yet, so Vinny G gets a pickup drive. This one’s got a shot, so let’s see some speed, please.
3 ALBERT A’ SCOOTIN – Not exactly one of my favorites, but in a race like this, somebody has to win! Could be Albert!
He’s had a few starts to get those legs back. He drops. He drew well. All systems say go for tonight.
4 SWIFT AS A SHADOW – After being buried in those first few back, maybe this guy has finally found the right level?
That last one when dropped to this class was an improved effort. A real maybe, but also a definite possibility.
5 FIERY LUSTRE N – This is just his second start back since the shutdown. I’m not really sure a $4K claimer can hack it in
a Meadowlands race, but we’re going to find out. He should be a little better than last time. Still not enough?
6 I AM THE COWBOY – Have to give this fella a big chance. Simply because he’s got speed! And Eric A picks up the call,
so there’s no doubt about the strategy. Sometimes in races like this, it becomes a no-passing zone. I’ll go with that.
7 MAN IN BLACK – Been suffering a case of the bad post blues since coming back. Oh well! This spot isn’t much easier,
so he’s got work cut out. In need of a big wakeup call, and those are hard to predict. Maybe we watch the board?
8 IN ROCK WE TRUST – The other eligible dropper in here. It’s been a while since he won, but this is a field that’s
begging to be beaten. I’m not in love with the post, but he should be able to overcome it. Grinds it out?
9 HAYDENS LITTLE MAN – Lands his second straight bad post and I just don’t see it working out from out here.
10 ANDWIN HANOVER – Another big longshot, that’s shown nothing lately. Demand huge price, if you fancy.

Race 2 Review —
1 I’M A DIRECTOR N – This looks like a prime spot for a win! Yes, the barn’s cooled off a little after that hot start, but this
gelding has rounded into form nicely. Gets major and much-needed post relief. It’s time to bet, folks! Trainer: Knocking
on the door! This looks like his race.
2 MEADOWBROOK TIGER – Not exactly a winning machine over past two seasons. But, he also moves inside and raced
okay in the GSY event. I would consider underneath in the gimmicks, but probably not on top.
3 HONOR ME – If you just forget about those last two, this is the horse to fear! Last time Dube drove he just missed with
a big upset. Any repeat of that kind of effort will give #1 a run for the money. The inner post is key tonight.
4 THE MIGHTY MARNER – Here’s another that one that rarely wins, but he clunks up for a piece of the pie almost every
time. So, again, use in the gimmicks, but only underneath. Might provide a little value there.
5 ANCLE – Coming out of a very fast race, but it was a long time ago. These lower level horses just can’t get in every
week this time of year. IF barn has him ready, he does have shot tonight. Ideal midpack post. Only needs a trip on drop.
6 PAN STREET USA – Sometimes, you just get lucky! That’s what happened two weeks ago when Marcus put a pictureperfect drive on him from the rail. Will it happen that way again? No way. And, Marcus isn’t here tonight.
7 BUNGALOW BILL N – A tad inconsistent of late, so that’s an issue. Gets stuck with another outer post. Joe B almost
got him home two back, so that’s the kind of effort needed. Are we going to get that? Or, the speed and fade of last?
8 FRANKANDJOANNE – Still waiting for his one win of the year. I still don’t think it comes tonight. We’ll see.
9 NEVER SAY NEVER N – Sharp horses are always dangerous. This barn is dangerous when they ship here. Corey is
dangerous when he’s on a horse he feels can win. All that adds up to must use! Even from post nine.
10 ALWAYS FLASHING A – Really don’t know what to do with this one, out of post 10. There’s a ton of other speed
inside. He seems to lack early zip. Yes, he’s getting sharp again, but it will take a big mile to beat this post.
