1 DA DELIGHTFUL – Freshened up a couple of months by Team Silva and came back with okay qualifier. Did get run over late, so it made me feel like he might need another. Regardless, Marcus chose him over #5. That’s a big call!
2 DEALER’S TABLE – This one had a much-needed race and paced home nicely from an impossible spot. Should we hop on board and bet him now? The price might be right, and he’s definitely in the mix. Pat has pulled off some surprises.
3 WHITTAKER N – Still a little buried in at this upper level. Does get Dexter back, however and last time he drove, the horse won. Expect a decent price, but I just don’t think he can beat these.
4 TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY – Have to give this fella a serious chance tonight. Been bouncing back and forth between some tough classes at Yonkers and here. Yannick might look at this field and realize speed will help. Send him!
5 INDEPENDENT ONE – I still like the way this guy is going. Took extra week off, but the bigger problem is the class hike. The post is perfect to give new pilot options. Can do it either way. Will offer bigger price, since MM opted off.
6 ANOTHER DAILY COPY – This is a horse that got real good here last year. Worked his way right up the class ladder, possibly too high? Also got a month off, which he deserved. Fired back nicely. Back to his favorite track. Watch out!
7 JACK’S SHADOW N – The outer post cost him much chance last week. Overall, he’s been racing pretty well, when in the right spot. This is a spot for some speed again and Tetrick is here tonight. Gets along with this one well.
DRIVER CHOICES: Marcus Miller 1 over 5

1 AMERICANFIREWATER – What a nice trip and drive from tonight’s “In The Sulky” guest! Paid 10-1 too! Moves all the way inside tonight and this could be tricky post. More patience required, but he would love to sit close to Jesse.
2 ALWAYS A SHARK – His qualifier left me wanting a little, so let’s consider him a longshot in first start back.
3 JESSE DUKE N – Highly-regarded import was the real deal last week! What an explosion, and from an impossible spot. Tonight, the tactics might be a little different, but the inner post will give Dex plenty of options. Looks like a lock!
4 DAAMERICANSKY – See how Team Silva’s horse in the first did off the short layoff. This one will probably race the same. I think they’re both going to need a race or two. I don’t give him much chance to beat Jesse tonight.
5 I’M AN ATHLETE – Transitioned over to this conditioned level last week and couldn’t quite pace with #1. That flow was live, but his kick just wasn’t as good. Loses Dexter, as expected and faces an uphill climb vs. these. Needs more.
6 TRUMP THAT – I guess if you wanted to try and beat #3, this is your best option. Yannick put him in perfect spot last week, and they still got gunned down. Owns the main speed in here and will be firing out again. Tough to catch?
7 FATHER SARDUCCI – He’s been a little buried at that upper level lately, so this is a more reasonable spot. But, I’m not in love with the post. I did like seeing the early speed last time. Will he fire out right into #6? That’s a good question.
8 WHATSTROUBLNUROCKY – Not enough punch come crunch time last week. Stuck in much tougher situation now, with the outside post drawn. That’s just not going to work.
DRIVER CHOICES: Dexter Dunn 3 over 5, Yannick Gingras 6 over 2
