|By Dave Brower — Race 1 Review for Saturday:|
1 ROYAL COURTIER – Launched a big move down at Freehold and then flattened out. Tired here before that, so I am surprised to see him back in the box here. Gets the cozy pole post to keep close. Needs a bigger kick when it counts.
2 DOGFIGHT – We haven’t seen a whole lot from this guy yet. Floated out and got parked the mile last time. Probably won’t get parked from post two, but pilot may try that speed again. Good luck with that.
3 SPORTS VISION – One of the possibilities in this camera-shy bunch. He doesn’t win too often and recent form is very mixed. Has shown speed before and this would be prime opportunity for that. Can Vinny G keep him going?
4 DRAMATIC POINT – Last week’s co-host, Brett Risi LOVED this horse and he came up empty. Not sure why, but he’s right back in the box, so I expect a better effort. Any step up at all could find him paying dividends for new barn.
5 MODERN YANKEE – Had to “need” that first start back off the little layoff. He was sent off at 90-1 too! Won’t be anywhere near that tonight and he could also step up his game. Wasn’t Corey’s choice, but I expected that. Maybe?
6 P ZONKA – Really tough to get a full gauge on his form. Obviously, we toss the race from post 10. But, a few of the others weren’t so great either. I’d need to see a major turnaround before I could endorse here.
7 TAILGUNNER HANOVER – The Gunner finds himself back in a good spot, against a field of his friends. The outer post this time will give him, and Corey a little test. Likes to finish, so he has to be close enough to launch that move.
8 DALTON DID IT – Dalton’s been suffering a case of the bad post blues. It continues. Pass again.
9 ATOMIC REI – I really don’t know what to do with this guy either. Doesn’t usually leave the gate. Gets slammed with worst post. Gets a new driver, since Dex isn’t here this weekend. Very mixed feelings, especially if price is short.

|Race 2 Review|
1 REEL OF FORTUNE – After that sparkling upset win in February down at Dover, things have turned sour. Ships up to take a big track try and I do wonder why? Let’s see if he’s a fit for M1.
2 PIERCEWAVE HANOVER – I’ve always been a fan of this horse, but even I will admit he doesn’t seem sharp right now. Can’t explain that, but I do see that we get a switch to The Captain tonight. Maybe he can wake him up?
3 LASA DIDA LADY – Turned in another one of her “good” efforts last week. That was solid grind, and it seemed like A Mac got along with her well. That’s key! Don’t expect to get 8-1 this week, but she does have big chance.
4 CHIEF JUSTICE – Burned a few bucks when heavily bet last week. Got out and rolled home a little too late. Not sure what the price will be tonight? Probably shorter than it should be. Wide open race. He’s got a shot too!
5 TAKE A WISH – Did not convert on the short rest thing last week. No worries. Back to regular schedule here and this might be ideal opportunity to take a shot with her. IF #8 trots early, that could set up hot pace. That helps her.
6 CYCLONE MAXIMUS – Keeps working his way down the class ladder and eventually will reach the point where he can win. Maybe this is it? Was also wildly overbet last time. Not sure I want a short price, with this stamina level.
7 ALLINDOTIME – This one’s for the Tetrick fans! At a price too! Is that Freehold win enough to do damage here? We’ll find out. I’m leaning towards no, but he’s surprised me before. Move to outer post doesn’t help.
8 BROADWAY PROMISE – Stayed trotting last week, so I guess that’s a good thing. Was just okay, though. Will need a lot more than that to overcome this post. Not going to be easy and I suggest you get fair price if you bet.
9 VENTURE PRINCESS – Many slow starts lately and that never helps. Will be coming from last. I will pass again.
