BROWER IN THE BIKE-SAT

—Race 1

1   ACES ROCK – I’m still remembering that mile two back where he dueled all the way around the track and still drew away. Yes, that came against slightly lesser, but he’s proven he belongs here too! Guns out, then follows? Trainer: He has been racing very well!

2   CALIBER – Tough call here, on the barn-changer. Was no factor for the Burke Brigade out in Kentucky. They gave him few weeks off and then qualified okay. He did win earlier in 48 and change, so we know the speed is there.

3   BUY IN – Several horses in here fit this profile. Shipping in off wins elsewhere. It’s very dangerous to ignore the Scotty D Timmy T combo. Drew well and plots for a good journey. Let’s see if he’s this good. Will have to prove it.

4   FORCE N FURY – Had a couple of starts to get those legs back. Didn’t really make any moves in them. Overdue to show a bit more, so longshot players beware! This could be a nice price play in a very wide open race.

5   CLAYTONS BETTOR N – I will stand by my opinion that Clayton just doesn’t like to win. Chased again last week, albeit in very willing fashion. Has now proven he can pace faster than 1:50. But, what will price be? Probably too low for me.

6   SEA OF LIFE – Moves into the Cullipher Crew. They are excellent with their acquisitions. Raced his eyeballs out down at Philly, so this could be a very nice buy. They put G Nap down to drive, so you know that’s positive intent. Lots to like.

7   SWEET TRUTH – Seems like he’s coming around a little bit. I’m not ready to play against a field like this, however.

8   PUT TO RIGHT – Took ALL the betting money last week when A Mac chose him and he raced okay, but not great. Can’t say I’m in love with this post again. Will need a little more early speed, just to get into the game.

9   BILLY LINCOLN N – Did nice work over at Pocono, but they’re now closed. So, Billy invades Club Med and gets slammed with a super-tough spot and a bad post. At least he’s a 4YO trying to beat the younger fellas. Rough spot.

10 CHASER HANOVER – I think we all know that Chaser will be doing just that from last in here. Not likely to work.

1   ATLANTA – Got beat in the Mares Final last year at odds of 1-9, so why not try the boys this year? She was absolutely sensational in that qualifier, with Yannick echoing that in interview. Has the rail at her favorite track. Slight edge?

2   MISSION ACCEPTED – Been playing “second fiddle” for the Burke Brigade this year, well behind his more heralded stablemate. And that’s okay. Did all the dirty work last week, setting things up for Lindy. Still held well. Will sit, stalk.

3   CRYSTAL FASHION – Uncorked a super try in the Crown final. That was heady drive by Jordan and it worked out perfectly. I do wonder what the plan is tonight, from a much better post. Continues to crank out the checks. Nice.

4   MANCHEGO – Amazing trotter makes her final career start tonight and what a nice way it would be to go out on top! She’s come back to her best form over last month. Nancy will have her ready and let the battle begin! Super race. Trainer: One of the greatest female race horses ever! Forever grateful to be a part of her career. Trained super in her last training mile ever.

5   LINDY THE GREAT – Loved to see this Lindy finally make it into the winner’s circle last week! He’d been racing awesome for Team Orange Crush. At press time, Julie needed ONE more win to get to 2,000. I assume that’s happened. So, congrats from all of us at the Med! Can Lindy track them down again? Depends on the pace.
