The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

GOING GULFSTREAM-MAR 24

With forecasts if dicey will-it or won’t it ran when the horses for the sixth race go on the track in the initial leg of the “easy” ever elusive Late Pick 4, we’d like to find a versatile steed.

We believe that’s rail sitting No Que No who handles turf, earning competitive figures, but might be better on Tapeta, so a surface switch should suit him well.

He has improved this year at 4 but can’t find a way to last the entire trip. Our thinking is that he’d be better stalker a leader at close range then finish up.

If Junior Alvarado repeats his two-back tack, it can work. See what you think: Gulfstream Park, JAN 23, Race 4. That was synth but the strategy should work on any surface in today’s sixth race.

Taking No Que No to win, no price restrictions, and quinellas with Pirate Life (7-2) and Determined Fury (3-1).
