The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

By Top Turf Teddy — The “Worst Stinkin’ Bet of the Day” for Wednesday, December 11, 2019, will be in the 5th Race at Gulfstream Park.

Today’s Tip from Teddy:  “Don’t be afraid to get your feet wet.”

So you think it’s easy to prognosticate who will be in front at the 1/2 mile pole?  Bet you would like to know the percentage of horses that go on to win after attaining that position at this level.  My old Greek Yiya (grandmother), who was a degenerate gambler in her own right, used to say in broken English, “If it’s your family you want to feed, bet on a horse who can get the lead.”  Which leads me to today’s worst, 6-Beachwalker, a Street Sense, Godolfin filly, who trained with the blue bloods over at PMM.  For you crackpots that like playing hunches, try pairing up with 7-Summer to Remember.  Don’t  see any “Sharks” in this field, so don’t be afraid to go in the water and lay it down on……
