By Marc Lawrence — From this week’s PLAYBOOK Football Newsletter: Arkansas’ watershed victory over Texas, 40-21, last Saturday had the fans storming the field at the conclusion of the contest, as the Razorbacks moved to 2-0 and found a spot in the Top-25.
Now, after all that praise, here is the caveat: the Hogs don’t dine well when coming off a victory, going 2-15 SU and 3-14 ATS, including 0-6 ATS when giving points, as well as 1-10 ATS when facing .666 or fewer opponents. They’re also 1-9 ATS against .500 or less Sun Belt opponents when coming off a win.
Meanwhile, Georgia State’s Eagles fly into Fayetteville sporting a glossy 16-9-1 ATS mark in lined non-conference contests since joining the FBS ranks, including 7-1 ATS versus .700 or greater foes.
With Texas A&M and Georgia waiting on deck for the Razorbacks, this is a great spot for these birds today.
