1 BULLIT TRAIN – Interesting spot for a 3YO on the drop invading from Philly. Barn has put a few over on us over the course of this meet. Could this be another? It’s a very soft spot, with so many other question marks in here.
2 ATTA BOY DAN – The ageless wonder got a nice rest, which he probably needed. I’m a bit surprised to see him here, because his best work has always been done at Pocono. Maybe this is just a prep for a next start there? Maybe.
3 PAPIAMENTO – He’s got to have a chance in here. We have trouble comparing classes at Philly to here. Were those $10K claimers there, better than a Trackmaster race here? Good question. I still have no clue. Good luck.
4 SHAVING MUG – Kind of the same situation for the Mug as #3. Was he tackling tougher foes or not? I know those $5K claiming field weren’t any tougher. But, he’s got speed, which should put him in decent position. Can’t rule out.
5 RUN AROUND JOHN – Been off since October, so I don’t see how he can possibly be ready for this. Take a pass.
6 IDEAL SUSPECT – Hasn’t made that much of an impact here, so he must be considered a longshot. Not for me.
7 TOATSMYGOATS – Not a whole lot to like about his recent past performances. Would need a complete turnaround.
8 MAAJAACKKOBE – Not much luck from the post gods last few, but at least he goes forward! That makes him look better than many of these. Expect pilot to be a little aggressive in here and put him into play. Chance at a price.
9 BIG BAD BILL – Yes, he’s just 1-23 this year, and that win didn’t come here. It’s post nine. Horse has been rallying okay, but how far back will he be? That’s a good question.

1 THAT’SMYTYPE – Was scheduled to race here last week, first-time Lasix, but ended up scratching. So, I don’t know what happened. Regardless, still looking very much like a longshot, even from the rail.
2 IDEAL TYSON A – Found a nice spot in the Club race down at Philly and parlayed a nice trip and drive from the Judge to pay off handsomely. Good confidence boost? I think so. This field has many question marks. He looks sharp.
3 PURPLE SKY – We just haven’t seen enough good form from this guy in a while. I can’t get too excited.
4 STEADY PULSE – Veteran gelding and pride of the Nikki D stable finds his way back to Club Med. He hasn’t been at his best here, over last few years in limited appearances. But, just about anybody can win this race. She listed Tim T.
5 SOME POWER – He’s just 1-23 coming into this, so that’s not great. He’s a stone closer, but it’s a short field, so that should help. To me, it’s a slight drop. Maybe that will wake him up? Maybe.
6 MAGAZINE THEME – Bouncing back and forth to all the area tracks. One of these times, he will find a field of his friends? Maybe this is it? Did show big speed that one time here. That’s the kind of move that could work out.
7 GINAZMIDNIGHTDREAM – Haven’t seen this guy here before, but barn usually knows how to spot one at M1 when they show up. Also exits a confidence booster. Let’s see if he’s fast enough for the mile track. Big question.
