1 MY BOY CHRISTIAN – For a bit, it looked like he was home free last week, on that very windy night. But Charlie snuck up the rail and caught him. But, it looks like new barn has him figured out. The one to fear from pole position.
2 KNIGHTOFVICTORY – Did stay trotting last time, and did pick up a check by passing some of the tired ones. Not bad. Still not enough to make me want to bet, but the price should still be big if you fancy.
3 ALL AMERICAN N – Boy, he’s a tough take right now. Stalked in perfect spot last week. Had just swung out to launch what would have been big move. And he broke! Darn! Gets to drop to bottom now, and NO excuses accepted.
4 MARQUIS VOLO – Trainer told me last week she thought this gelding would be good on the big track, and she was right! He had some good finishing trot, in solid, acclimating mile. Can easily build on that from much better post.
5 STENHOUSE HANOVER – Sten is just not getting it done nowadays, so I will simply take a pass on him once again.
6 MOVEOUTOFMYWAY K – They are trying anything, and everything to get this horse to behave, and he’s not having any of it! Kasper F takes the lines and will just try to keep him on gait. Lately, that’s a tall order. Your call, folks?
7 U NEED STONES – Not exactly one of my favorites over the years, but I always recognize that he likes this track. Made good $$$ in the sires stakes, etc. Now in different barn. Was just okay in that qualifier. I think he needs another.
8 UNCLE HANOVER – Uncle did real well, albeit too late at this level two back. Then got forced up in class and still got a check! Love the drop back down, but NOT the move back to brutal post. There may not be much pace in here.
9 BIG NUDGE – Looks like he some “issues” at the gate. Let’s watch one here to see if he wants to trot.
10 SHADY MCCOY – Like #5, he’s just not getting the job done right now, so he’s an easy pass from dreaded post 10.

1 FRENCH SHAKER – Barn’s got two comebackers in here, and this one enters off a slowish, but winning qualifier. For Freehold, that’s a pretty good sprint home. Barn doesn’t rush them, but can have one ready. Very tough call.
2 ALWAYS B FIRST – Filly looks like a “project horse” for barn that can figure them out in a hurry! Has the benefit of a few starts as a freshman, but she didn’t know what to do. Tetrick had her geared up nicely late in encouraging qualifier.
3 STAYCATION HANOVER – Only started once last year, so she wasn’t ready for it either. Barn put her away to hopefully mature a little. Looks like she did, based on storm home in the qualifier. Will she be overbet off that? T Mac’s choice.
4 STEPHANIE DEO – Speaking of talent, Steph has plenty! But, she’s also had issues staying on track. I still remember her incredible race from post 10 in June. That was an eye-catcher! Her one qualifier two weeks ago was just fine. Ready?
5 SO DELIGHTFUL – She probably needed that first start here, and she got stuck in a different kind of class. This is where she belongs. Mark Mac will keep her close and I don’t think she’s out of it in any way. Owns one good move.
6 OURLITTLEMIRACLE – Cassar barn’s other filly was a solid Ontario earner last year up north. Yes, that’s a 25.4 sprint home in her qualifier, but they were all in full stride late. IF she takes back here, may have too far to come. Surprisingly, this was A Mac’s choice over #4.
7 CLASSICA – I guess somebody has to be the longshot in here, and this lass is it. Especially from the outside post.
