1 BUGGER BRUISER – That was a supremely good try last week, and a bad beat if you bet! You got the underlay price, but not the win. So, it took one start to adjust to his new barn and he will renew a rivalry with #4. Good battle coming.
2 ALL ABOUT RUSTY – Not exactly having a great season, with a 1-18 slate. Tried Pocono. Tried Monti. Will now try the big track and I’d need to see a good one before I could realistically endorse.
3 ALWAYS A FORCE – Ended the Freehold meet on a sour note, with that 1-5 loss. What’s up with that? I have no answer. But, with Freehold now closed, you have to race somewhere. Will the Force be with him? I’m not so sure.
4 GYPSY LEATHER – Yannick got away with a nice, soft pace on this guy last Friday and it worked to perfection. Will it be quite that easy again? I always lean towards no, but there isn’t a whole lot of other power in this field. No YG this time.
5 ATOMIC REI – Newly-crowned Freehold training champ Mike P brings this aging veteran up the Turnpike again. First visit didn’t show us much, so he will have to ramp it up a few notches to get close. Can horse still do it at 13?
6 TRICK CARD – I guess if you wanted to try and beat the two favorites, this is your best option. He does own a win this year, his first, by the way. Speed will be coming again, and he should end up in perfect stalking spot. I want price!
7 TITUS SEELSTER – Titus picked up the nickel in his first visit back here. Okay! Not bad. Gets a slightly tougher post to go along with his lack speed. So, he’s totally at mercy of both pace and trip. Needs to get a little lucky.
8 MIKE’S POWERHOUSE – Must have gotten really sick there in April, because barn gave him lots of time off. The comeback qualifier on Monday doesn’t exactly excite me, but this barn can have one ready. Take a long look.

1 JM BETONSIX – One of the possibilities in this very wide-open race, despite the only six entrants. They all can win! This filly has made the transition to mile track nicely so far. This could be her shot to shine, from the rail. Needs a bit more.
2 OFF THE RECORD – Should benefit from that first trip over the track. Sometimes it takes a race to acclimate. And this barn is good in that category. She won here last year, and I suspect she’s just racing back into shape. Dangerous.
3 RAPUNZEL BLUE CHIP – Elected to scratch on Tuesday at Pocono in a seemingly tougher spot. I like the move! Yes, I know she still hasn’t won a race yet, but it will come eventually. She is fast enough. She’s also a 4YO. No excuses.
4 CAPSAICINN – Her name makes me want some hot chicken wings! Worked her way right up the class ladder in PA, even trying those low-level stakes. Not bad! Since she’s by the Captain, she could easily show more on big track.
5 ALWAYSABEACHDAY – We haven’t seen a whole lot from her since coming south. I’d like to see a touch more early speed, but don’t know if it’s in the tank. I have to see it first.
6 OURLITTLEMIRACLE – Added Lasix last time and did produce a better result. That trip was just too tough. She could be the key to the early pace battle. I see plenty of speed, if pilot wants it. Another possibility in tough race.
