1 TAKEITTOTHEFACE – Dave Y won a race last week from the rail with Doctor Butch. Can he do it again? Of course! This gelding has quietly been okay of late, and the move back inside will be a big plus. Sits, saves ground, tries get lucky.
2 FERNADO – Bouncing up and down the class ladder, but without a lot of success. Still a longshot to me. Pass.
3 FERDINAND A – Keeps duking it out on the front end and it’s been a bit rough on him. Tonight, William will just have to get him an easier journey. That could easily translate to better success. IF the price is fair, go ahead and use again.
4 STATESMAN N – Ended up in a shuffle last week, but overall, he hasn’t been overly sharp of late. All things considered he can always bounce back. He’s just too much of a warhorse veteran. The price should be okay, if you fancy.
5 MASTER CONRAD – The Master didn’t get quite the same setup last time, so he had a bit too far to come. No worries. It’s always the same for him. If the pace, and trip are right, he can come flying. Midpacks post usually help a lot.
6 THEREISAPACEFORUS – Finally, and I repeat, finally, gets a decent break from the post gods! And it might not be enough. Just hasn’t been able to get into the race lately. Likely following #5? Not sure he can outkick that foe.
7 JERRYTONE – I figured he would use his speed last week and he tried that. Did get shuffled a touch and finished up okay. This could be different. There aren’t many pure speed horses in here. He’s got to take a shot and blast.
8 ALWAYS A FORCE – Tough beat if you had him last time. Came storming home from just a tad too far back. Oh well, if you took him at 3-2. The price is likely to be low again, even from this tougher post. Tony V must get him into it.
9 GALACTIC GALLEON N – Loses that inside post help. It tends to hurt him. Looking like longer shot from out here.
10 WAIMAC ATTACK N – Really don’t know what to do with this guy out of post 10. He has shown a touch of speed before. I don’t see him sweeping them all if he totally takes back. Just not an easy spot for Matty Z.

1 KEYSTONEFIGHTNIGHT – Had six starts as a freshman and they weren’t bad. That shows promise. Rather than drive on, barn opted to turn him out at summer’s end. Comeback qualifier was okay. Might just need one or two more.
2 SILVERSTONE – Kind of the same boat as #1. It’s a bit of a tricky spot for the 3YO’s tackling some older, more experienced foes. But, if anybody can get them ready for a test, it’s the Burke Brigade. Will show more here.
3 AUSSIE HANOVER – Did not start last year, so lacks that experience. Got stuck in a couple of pretty fast qualifiers, so don’t be too hard on him. Should continue to get a bit faster, but probably not ready to win one yet. Wait.
4 MEET THE CREEPER – He’s quietly been racing better lately. Trae has been very conservative with him, and letting him finish. He finishes pretty well! In this bunch, it’s probably all about pace and trip. Will need some pace to rally into.
5 DONTPASSME HANOVER – He’s also a bit sluggish early. And I don’t think he enjoys that last turn either. But, he can flat-out fly on the straight. Technically, he’s faster than these, so it might not matter. Hold your breath if you bet!
6 SHAKE IT – Raced, and WON a couple as a 2YO. Nice! They tinkered with the Kindergarten at season’s end, but he probably wasn’t ready for that. Looks like he’s come back good for the potent team! Will try to steal this. Can do.
7 TUFFENUFTOWEARPINK – Ended his 3YO season on a bit of a sour note, but that was then, and this is now. Barn’s been quietly heating up lately and this isn’t a terrible spot. If Tuff is ready to roll! That is the question.
