1 LAYTON HANOVER – Third foal of mare that had no earnings, but it sure looks like Chris Ryder has himself a nice colt here! Dug in gamely to hold on in the second go. Same strong sprint home in the debut. Won’t be easy, but can do!
2 TUF COOPER – Another third foal here and one of two for the barn. Outsprinted home in the one try here, so let’s look for him to come from just off the pace again. That worked a little better.
3 HUNTED HOUSE – Ramblin Ray will be racing a lot of these Huntville’s this year. This one’s a sixth foal, but has two sibs that banked over $100K. Chased #5 in only baby race. I think he’s going to need more experience. I’ll wait.
4 FORREST BLU – As stated in last night’s program, the barn’s been on fire lately, mostly in PA. But, it would be dangerous to ignore one like this. Already gelded. Real strong finish in a betting race. So, let’s see him on the big track.
5 JK VICTORY – A third foal here, purchased for over $100K at the Indiana sale. A brother to Midwest star Little Rocket Man. And he couldn’t possibly have looked any better finishing in both baby races. Clearly the one to beat tonight.
6 CAVIART CAMDEN – Did a complete 180 from start one to two. Just exploded out of the hole down at the farm and won wrapped up. Hopefully, this homebred is done with those breaks. He’s got some go! Might be price too!
7 FOXHUNT – Has the benefit of a race under his belt. This guy’s mom made almost $900K, so there’s plenty of expectation here. I’m not in love with the post, but sure went fast enough last time. A Mac did opt off. Not good sign.
8 NAVIGATOR – Nancy T owns, trains and bred this guy. Has one full sister that earned over $183K. Not bad. Josert F did a nice job of gearing him up to win the second baby race. That shows promise! Tonight’s problem is this post.

1 CHABLIS – It’s been a mixed bag for her so far at three. A couple decent efforts. A couple even efforts. She’s only missed one check, but has also yet to win a race. There are plenty of strong foes in here. Still a longshot to me.
2 SOUKUP BLUE CHIP – She’s also overdue to win a race. Several top efforts at the stakes level, so I think it’s finally time to step up and deliver the goods. She has speed. She has a good post. And main foe is stuck outside. Hop on board.
3 THE QUEEN B – Just 1-19 so far, so that’s not great. They also dropped her out of stakes to try and snag a win and it hasn’t worked yet. I hate to see that miscue. I guess I’ll just watch one and see if she improves tonight.
4 DUCHESSPEDIA – Which Duchess is showing up tonight? The one that powered home last month, OR the one that scratched and then broke. Obviously, I have no answer. We have to guess. Take a good, long look at her on track.
5 MY ABIGAIL – She cost a pretty penny to bring home from Lexington a while back. And she’s only made two starts, so they are taking their time with her. Flew home to win at Philly. Then had good effort at Pocono. Stretches out here?
6 AVENIR – Just like her stablemate, she’s tough to gauge. Some good efforts. But more miscues. I’ll just pass for now, even though Yannick chose her over stablemate.
7 MATERIAL GIRL – She’s probably the key to the race. Barn off to good start this stakes and baby season. This filly has talent, and we can certainly give her a pass for that messy, rainy night of the final. Needed last. Will be ready now.
