Race 1

1   LAREDO TORPEDO N – Back from Philly for another go on the mile track and he’s won here before. Owns a big post edge on the outside favorite. Even showed some speed to that recent win. A Mac’s choice. Several things to like.

2   SWAGASAURUSREX – Rex gets a little class relief tonight and he probably needs it. Not sure, but it looks like he was no factor in the fog last week. Horse has been inconsistent, so he needs the “A” game to threaten these again.

3   HE’S ELECTRIC – Changed up the strategy last week and came on mildly. Ran out of gas before that. So, we’ve got mixed form in this corner too! I’ll keep him on the longshot list for now. I’d be surprised if he beat these.

4   EDDARD HANOVER – Finds his way back to Club Med for the Cullipher Crew. He’s faced, and beaten better fields than this in the past. I’ve got questions about his current form, though. Is he sharp? No. The class drop should help.

5   CONSTNTLYSIDEWYS A – He’s also been a tough horse to get excited about. Also drops. Needs big wakeup call.

6   HEADLIGHTS ON – Not sure what went wrong two weeks ago, but it was pretty bad. He just stopped. Pass off that.

7   BABES DIG ME – Makes second start back off a mini-layoff. I don’t like that 0-16 slate this year, but I liked the way he looked finishing that mile. The rest did him some good. But, he’s still outside and he won’t be 34-1 this week.

8   JUSTIN CREDIBLE – Still lacking that big stretch pop that he used to show here. Until I see one of those again, I will probably pass. Especially from an outside post. Will need a lot of luck to get into this one.

9   LEAR SEELSTER – Talk about the bad post blues! Would be very hard to build a strong case if he gets away last.

10 FABRICE HANOVER – Burned a little bit of Big M betting money here two back. Found a softer spot down at Philly and raced well. It will be the usual post 10 blast for Yannick. Horse is what he shows. That’s why he’s just 1-20 this year.

Race 2

1   ROCKAHOLIC – The post relief alone should put this fella back in play. Since he won’t have to get away last, pilot should be able to keep him closer and then get into the flow. If it’s live, he does pack a decent kick in the bag.

2   THUNDER DOME – Not much in his recent form provides confidence. Still a longshot to me, even in post two.

3   INSPIRATION VIEW – That’s a poor-looking Yonkers qualifier, so he can’t possibly be ready for this. Pass.

4   KARMA WINS – Showed up here and went to running right away. Why? I guess he’s just not reliable? We should probably give him one more chance, against a field full of question marks. I also dislike that 0-24 slate. Use under?

5   WINDSONG GORGEOUS – Can the 13YO still go on the mile track? That is the question. He’s had many starts here before, and even took his mark several years ago. On memory alone, vs. a field like this, he HAS to have a chance.

6   GRANDPA DON – We all know the drill here. He’s either going to sweep the field from off the pace, OR come up empty. I have no idea which way to go, folks. We just have to guess. I don’t think the price will be very big.

7   NOTORIOUS – Debuts for the new barn tonight. Team Silva owns many wins with “reclamation” projects like this. I don’t know how he does it, but Mark gets these things going. I guess we watch the tote board a bit too!

8   SHARKNADO – Let’s make him the tepid morning line favorite, because his last race is better than any of the others. But, he’s missed a few weeks and that worries me. That lack of early speed can hurt too! Be careful.

9   JOHNNY MARSHALL – Scoots back up the NJ Turnpike for another big track try. His last effort here was flat.

10 BET THE DRAGON – I don’t think there will be too many betting on the Dragon from post 10. Not my type.
