1 WHITTAKER N – Took a sidebar, unsuccessful trip to Yonkers and finds his way back to Club Med. Gets the class drop, the pole, but wasn’t Dexter’s choice. That’s mixed signals. Will have to deal with couple other droppers, though.
2 BIG STRETCH MARK – This really isn’t a bad spot for Stretch either. Wasn’t Yannick’s choice, but he plots for a very nice trip from this post and could shake free with a punch. Just get a fair price, if you think that may happen.
3 PASSA-GRILLE BEACH – After the drop-and-pop win two back, Simon tried the same thing against this class and that didn’t work. So, let’s look for differing strategy against a pretty good field for this level. Still a longshot to me.
4 PALOMAR – Dexter opted here, so I may have to reconsider. But, the excuses are piling up and the skid is getting longer. He squandered his opportunity to beat the lower class. I’d be surprised if he jumped up, won here.
5 SEEUINNASHVILLE A – This might be the horse to beat. I think he deserved extra week off, after getting torched from the bad post last time. Sometimes, those types of miles tighten one up. If he makes front easier, will give #1 a tussle.
6 LOVE THE BLUES N – Just ran into a buzzsaw last time, so don’t hold that against him. It was his best effort in a while. Seems overdue, but I’m going to prefer the class droppers in here, not the hikers. I will let him beat me, IF he can.
7 MAC’S BIG BOY – We’ve got all these Burke Brigade “returnees” coming off their short breaks. It’s not easy to decipher which ones will be good, and which ones need additional work. It’s a guessing game! And I usually lose. Good luck!
8 LIKE CLOCKWORK – Many times, I’d like this drop for the Clock, but maybe not tonight. He’s been overmatched recently, but also a little dull. This is an outer post. Yannick is off. I’ll pass tonight, and hope for better spot next week.

1 DOCTOR BUTCH – One of six class droppers in here, to make things a lot more complicated. 11YO warhorse won for the 50th time not too long ago, so congrats on that. Hasn’t seen bottom class in a long time. Loves it here too!
2 FERDINAND A – Hasn’t found a way to win in North America yet, so that’s an issue. Red put two qualifiers into him, and neither was very solid. I’ll just pass on him, until we see something more.
3 GOOD ROCKIN – Maybe it’s finally his turn to win one of these? He’s been overbet in a lot of spots and wasn’t able to get the job done. This is perfect post for his style. And, he gets another new driver. Not sure about the value, though.
4 EDDARD HANOVER – He’s made it all the way to the bottom level, AND finally gets a decent post. It’s going to make a big difference here. Loses Tetrick to #7, and that’s a big call. I thought he might stick with the bigger barn.
5 FABRICE HANOVER – Somehow won only once all of last year. So, that’s never good for anything out of the Burke Brigade. I have no idea what happened in that January start, but it obviously wasn’t good. Qualifier was just fair. Big ??
6 QUALITY BUD – The Bud is back! And in a new barn. Looks like he burned a lot of cash in that last try at Dover. Vic gave him every chance too! Has worked his way all the way down the ladder. This is usually where he wakes back up.
7 CAPTAIN MULZAC – Barn hinted that he was going to need a race or two before we see best. Probably true. Tetrick chose him last week, and sticks with him tonight over the Cullipher horse. It’s a slight drop. Is he ready yet?
8 THREE WAYS N – Visiting all the area tracks lately. Big track try tonight, and no love from the post gods. We have to wait for a better spot.
