1 TACHYON – Not bad so far! That’s how I would sum up the start of his career. He’s gotten a little faster each time. Gets post relief tonight. He’s the ideal horse for the series. Just needs to come to his natural speed. Will over time. Sarah on!
2 BY THE BOOK – Just second foal of mare that made only $24K. Has a full sis with a mark of 55.2. The only baby race showed plenty of promise, even if it was a slow race. Don’t hold that against him. In very crafty hands too!
3 LETSDOIT S – I guess we’re looking at a pretty short price here. Was very good in both of those recent first-place finishes. Very interesting pedigree too! Brian will move him at the right time. Definitely the one to catch and beat.
4 TORRONE – I was a tad disappointed with his last try. Instead of improving and going forward, his last pair could be considered a regression. He’s right back in, so barn must expect more tonight. Look for any changes.
5 EL TORO LOCO – In the week where a bull got loose in New York, this is definitely a hunch play! Plus, the colt by Walner has some talent too! Brian Zendt tripped him out perfectly at the Meadows. That’s a big win! Went fast too!
6 HIGH HILLS – I’m sure we haven’t seen his best efforts yet. It might not be tonight, but eventually. Must trot.
7 TAKATO – Second foal here, and a brother to Venerate. They’re trying different things to get him correct. Didn’t like the hopples that one time, but bounced back nicely a month later. Definitely heading in the right direction. Trainer: Can go very fast when he chooses to do it in a straight line. Seemed to accept wearing two headpoles in last baby race. I was happy with that effort.
8 THE AMERICAN EAGLE – A third foal here from mare that banked $445K. Her first two made the races, so there is reason to expect some improvement moving forward. This is a tough spot, however. I will watch another one.

1 COUNTERPARTY RISK – Beautiful daughter of the Captain here, and she’s been solid right from the get-go. Typical Alagna Armada pattern of improvement, every time on the track. Andy Mac rated her nicely at Philly. Moves forward.
2 WINDY MICKI – Hate to see that miscue last time, because she had been doing very well prior. This kind of series is perfect for her. She didn’t cost much either. So, let’s hope she bounces back better here on the big track.
3 GOTTHEGREENLIGHT – How good has she looked so far? And you know, she should only get better with more experience. In those crafty hands of Nifty and Dexter has educatedly her perfectly. Very short price coming here.
4 FLIP THE SCRIPT – She’s coming along slowly so far, and that’s okay. Not all of them are ready for top speed in first few appearances. I will be watching for more, as she continues to learn her job.
5 MEXICAN HANOVER – The barn’s got two in here, and obviously, the other lass is the star so far. Will get a new driver tonight, with DD on #3. I do like the post and potential for trip. Also shows versatility. Can she follow her stablemate?
6 TREACHEROUS DRAGON – We all remember her mom, the $2.3 million earning My Little Dragon. This is her ninth foal, and she’s thrown one great one in Stay Hungry. This filly’s been good in all three so far. Let’s see how good?
7 YES INDEED – Here’s a 12th foal and that doesn’t happen too often. Has five siblings over $150K, including a few over half a million. Erv has brought her along perfectly. He even drove in first few. Marcus takes over now. Tough post.
8 CAPTAINS PRINCESS – The Alagna’s bookend the field here, with pole, and post nine. Absolutely nothing wrong with this lass so far. She’s shown speed. She’s shown good finishes. Very nice homebred here, with solid future. A Mac chose
