1 ROCK TO GLORY – All things considered, that was a pretty good try off the layoff. Stormed home from a tough post. Gets the post relief and should be a little stronger tonight. Just don’t expect that big price anymore. Fits perfectly.
2 KINGOFTHEJUNGLE – I just had a feeling he would send last time and it worked out great! With that said, this guy also gets a better post and will step right around #1 before settling. In line for another good trip. Can be used again.
3 FATHER SARDUCCI – Off the back-to-back claims, new barn stuck him right in the GSY, and that trip was tough. He did hold well, so no doubt he remains sharp. Gets another inner post and should be in prime stalking position. Danger!
4 PARKLANE JET – After the good try from post 10, that last one was a little flat. Tries another new driver tonight in the Judge. He can “motivate” one, but will have his work cut out tonight. Demand fair value if you fancy his chances.
5 TRICK CARD – Nice win at Pocono two back. Tried Philly on the price hike and that didn’t work out. Raced well last time we saw him here. Alan will try to work out that one move trip from midpack. Will hope for a hot pace up front.
6 ELYSIUM SEELSTER – I’ll keep this guy on the longshot list for now. Seems like a long time since he won a race.
7 MARVALOUS ONE – Figured to “need” that last one off the missed time, but he didn’t pace a lick. Pilot has been hot in this series of late, and anywhere else he goes. It’s hard to predict a total turnaround, but he will race better tonight.
8 WOODMERE ULTIMATE – I would have a tough time building a strong case for success from way out here. Pass.
9 BRUCE’S MAGIC – I liked his chances last week, and he got completely bottled up in traffic. So, legitimate excuse. But, what do we do tonight from post nine? That’s a good question. Bruce doesn’t usually leave too well. Tough call.

1 MASSTER BLUE – Finds his way up the NJ Turnpike for a big track try. I know he’s raced here before, but I don’t think he’s won here before. I see who gets the assignment, so that’s positive. I’m going to consider using underneath.
2 SHOEMAKER HANOVER – Didn’t really have any excuses last time. Just lacked that solid punch to get close enough. This field might be a tad easier than that last one, but the Shoe will have to step up his game a few notches.
3 LATOKA – Some good efforts. Some flat ones. No recent big track form, so that’s a big concern for me. Would need to go a whole lot faster here. I haven’t seen it yet. Your call?
4 CIMERONKEN – Dave G left with everything last week and it worked in most cases. The 12YO gets a better post and seems to be a one-move kind of horse. Maybe we save it for late again? That did work here earlier. Usable.
5 LIFE WELL LIVED – I’ve never been a huge fan of this horse. He just doesn’t win all that often. But, even I recognize that this isn’t a bad spot. Tony C hops on and he should be a good fit. Needs to get this guy a trip, finish well.
6 SCIROCCO PATRICK – He raced a little better than I expected last week. Especially after the missed time. So, in all theory, he should be even better this week. That probably makes him the one to beat, but at pretty low odds.
7 SWANCREDIT – Made up decent ground last time we saw him here. Melissa drove that night, for husband and sister-in-law. Can’t say that I’m in love with this post, or that last try. Will have to find a way to get into it sooner.
8 IF I MUST – Another one up the Turnpike from the Hold. Horse did win here last year, so keep that in mind. Not sure what Paul has planned, but this is tough spot to begin from Horse doesn’t look loaded with early speed, either.
9 INUKCHUK CHUCK – Doesn’t exactly appear to be in great form right now. Once upon a time, he could beat a field like this, but that was then, and this is now. That, plus post, probably make him a pass.
