Proven Strategies is confirmed to make his next start in the G1 Summer Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Canada, Sunday, Sept. 15.
The colt’s connections, owners Len Green, Aron Yagoda, and trainer Mark Casse, feel that the colt is doing so well, the Summer Stakes is the best spot to run him, providing a competitive yet achievable goal.
In preparation for Sunday’s race, Proven Strategies recorded his latest breeze, a maintenance move, over the Woodbine turf course on Saturday Sept. 7. He covered 4 furlongs in 49 seconds, third fastest of four at the distance.
Racing a horse in a different country poses several logistical hoops (individual owner, stable name and partnership licensing, associated fees, etc.) that ERC will need to jump through to include Empire Racing Club’s name on the ownership line in the program. All paperwork is expected to be squared away this week.
