The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

There’s jo place like home at newly minted 4-year-old April Mist (7-2) showed that in her return to Oldsmar 23 days ago for this young turf specislist.

Additionally, she’s back in the barn of Chad Stewart, who saddled her to victory on debut, Stewart taking the best of it with a $16,000 claiming tag then running off and hiding by nearly a dozen lengths.

She goes in today’s 9th race in an optional NX2 for her second recent start after her allowance victory at Remington then was an excellent second in her latest Tampa return.

Check out her run at Tampa Bay, JAN 11, Race 5 and see if your agree with that assessment.

In three races on turf, she never has taken a backward step on the Thoro-Graph scale, gets blinkers here, an outside draw which she rates to appreciate and picks up the services of turf ace Jose Ferrer.

We’re taking her to replicate her last out which will be enough to beat some salty members in this lineup. Betting her to win at 5-2 or greater and an exacta box with well spotted Solid Tune (9-2) who get back to her winning trip with Samy Camacho pole-sitting here.
