See the Big M effort on OCT 1, Race 5 then decide if he’s worth an expected short price in Friday’s feature in Oldsmar. We believe it does.
Despite a tardy break, the gelded 3-year-old had running on his mind throughout. He managed an inside trip despite a wide draw but lost momentum at at critical point while between horses approaching the turn.
After getting clear he remained inside until deep stretch at which point he angled out into the 5-path and closed like a wild horse. As if just getting started, which he was, he galloped out strongly thereafter.
Even after a cursory look at the field, there appears to be adequate pace signed on that should fit his late run nicely. Class relief will help, as does the switch to Gallardo and Darien Rodriguez trainee has run well at Tampa previously.
Taking Rock the Stars to win, no price restrictions, ad will box exactas wit Swing Low and Pirate Parade, each at 6-1 on the early line.
