By Marc Lawrence — The final day of the NBA 2020-21 season tips off today and with it there are a mix of teams in the mix for the right to perform in the “Play-In” games starting on Tuesday.
For others, it’s time to make tee-time reservations.
What is interesting is that two games on today’s card each feature double-no rest situations involving all four teams – the Celtics & Knicks and the Spurs & Suns.
Not counting last season’s makeshift schedule, it seems that teams playing in their final game of the regular season in these double-no rest affairs are just 6-9 SU and 3-12 ATS in games in which they own a .640 or greater win percentage. Worse, they are 3-8 SU and 1-10 ATS when coming off a win, including 0-8 ATS when favored.
Could the sun be setting on Phoenix in San Antonio today? Stay tuned.
