The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Considering that Alynaabi (9-2) showed improvement off the Jon Arnett claim on FEB 5 here — check out Race 4 — and that the trainer is profitable with second-time new acquisitions, wouldn’t it follow to expect another forward move? We think so.

Also, since the newly turned 4-year-old with added maturity showed that improvement at this level, at that Arnett is also profitable for life with his turf runners, would that augur well, too? Once again, yes.

The Nyquist bay loses leading rider Camacho in this spot, but since when has Antonio Gallardo been considered an inferior replacement? As Vincent Gambini would say “you were serious about that?’

Yes, he will need to overcome a wide draw but has enough early gas to find some position before he enters the backside. The added sixteenth will allow Gallardo to back down the pace to his advantage.

We’ll gamble providing early line odds are available, and will box an exacta with uber sharp Hereby (9-2), seeking his third straight and looking to extend his Tampa mark to a perfect 3-for-3.
