TAMPA: MANDATORY PAYOUT

No one hit the 20-cent Ultimate 6 wager Saturday, enabling the pool to accumulate to $132,917 entering Sunday’s Tampa Bay Downs racing card, which will feature a mandatory payout to any and all bettors correctly selecting all six winners from races 4 through 9.

The jackpot is usually distributed any time a single bettor picks all six winners, but that stipulation will be waived Sunday. If nobody picks all six winners, the jackpot will be paid out to anyone picking 5-of-6 (or 4-of-6, if that’s the best result).

Given the pool is likely to grow to $500K, Little Gia (9-2 in the finale looks like the right chance to complete your play.

The mare has benefitted from a brief freshened, showing solid incremental, coming into her own as a late developer at age five. Carlo Vaccarezza is batting 21% shipping into Oldsmar and hands the reins over to hot-riding Antonio Gallardo.

We’re taking Little Gia in the P6 and betting her straight if we’re not alive at 3-1 or greater, boxing the exacta with E M’s Treasuregirl (3-1), pole sitting favorite for Gerald Bennet and Samy Camacho.
