Approaching today’s Rainbow 6 sequence with some trepidation as this is not an easy game and is not supposed to be. But if she runs back to her last effort, how does one beat Firenspice (7-2) in Wednesday’s third race?
For openers, she was very good last out: Check out her run on FEB 11, Race 2, at Gulfstream Park.
We understand that late rally is the preferred Tapeta Style, but entering the stretch 5 wide at 5 furlongs is not an enviable trip but she ran on toe finish second, beaten a half length.
Today she stretches out to her winning distance, attracts Jose Ortiz for Christopher Davis, who has won with half of his last four starters–both ridden by Ortiz.
Her recent work around the dogs at her Palm Meadows base was 3rd fastest of 56 peers to work that week and the number she earned last out is a layover on the Thoro-Graph scale. Coming back on 33 days rest should be sufficient spacing.
Without equivocation, taking Firenspice to win at 5-2 or greater and keying quinellas with Amazing Trip (9-2) and David’s Rose (5-1) each exiting key races.
