The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

Quietly, Brian Lusk has been doing good work with his turf runners at this meet and he’s found an ideal spot to end his Saturday with a visit to the winners’ circle with Sociallongdistance (3-1).

Last out he was pitched to high in a starter stakes on the special Florida-bred program two weeks ago.

He did save ground throughout following a trouble start and did really shake free comfortably to make a late run.

He finished with interest, beaten less than three lengths, and was going in the right direction at the finish. His has earned good figures with consistency and will appreciate the mini-turnback from 9 furlongs to a suitably shorter trip.

He’ll be in this throughout assuming a clean break and Alonzo has shown some deftness on the Tampa lawn.

Taking Sociallongdistance to win, no price restrictions, and Barrel of Quests (8-1) for the uber live Granitz barn and exiting a key race.
