The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

No easy way to close out the week but optional allowances going a mile and half was compelling enough to give it a go.

Not easy at all, leaving six of 11 open which should give horizontal players fits, unless they have a have favorite trainer, jockey or color.

We think Michael Maker has himself to be here, both fair prices on the early line.

Developing 4-year-old Shady McGee (8-1) is fresh, has the rail and Paco Lopez, and is forward looking. Ready for his season’s debut?

Jarreau (9-2) who has recency, conditioning, has been head knocking with better and Javier Castellano would like to win this mount back I’m draw.

Wide draw will help the price anyway.

Take a look at his last at Gulfstream Park, JAN 19, Race 9. Forced to chase the pace for a mile and a half on dirt, he tired to 3rd but beaten only two lengths. Both prior runs came against budding Todd star Albaan.

He’s honest and his rider knows how to deal with tough dynamics.

Taking Jarreau to win at 7/2 or greater and keying quinellas with his stablemate and Megayacht (7-2).
