The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

NEW YORK BACK IN HARNESS

HRI Harness Staff Release  In his daily press conference from Albany, NY on Saturday May 16, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that horse racing tracks will be allowed to open on June 1 with no fans.

He also announced that, “We will be issuing guidance on how they can open safely in the coming week.”

His presentation included the following harness racing tracks:  Batavia Downs, Buffalo Raceway, Monticello Raceway, Saratoga Raceway, Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs and Yonkers Raceway, in addition to the four Thoroughbred tracks.

The U.S. Trotting Association will provide further information as it becomes available
