POWER HAS PEGASUS STYLE

By HRI Staff — This week trainer John Sadler was quoted in the Daily Racing Form saying that Higher Power, a last-out third in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, is headed to South Florida for the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup on January 25.

Good decision: Given the five-year-old’s style and the dynamics of racing at Gulfstream Park, the two look like an excellent fit.

Sadler won Santa Anita’s opening day San Antonio impressively with Gift Box, is considering the Saudi Cup on Leap Day. Clearly, Sadler seeks to keep the Hronis Stable runners apart when possible.

Last year at 4, Higher Power won both Del Mar’s G1 Pacific Classic and Santa Anita’s Grade 1 Awesome Again.
