The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

It is always welcome when a horse to watch shows up in the race of the day in Oldsmar and Heavenly Appointed (4-1) fills that bill nicely.

She made the last when after her promising debut at Delaware when Jorge Ruiz left the Point of Entry filly with too much to do.

Eventually the Graham Notion trained filly finished second, then in August was speed-sharpened on the stretchout at Colonial Downs, which unlikely is her best game.

She returned to Delaware at an inappropriately shorter distance and finished boldly late, just missing. After that, she was sharpened again at her Fair Hill base and gets a chance to make amends in blinkers.

Kevin Gomez will stick with the filly on the re-ride and we will as well.

Taking Heavenly Appointed to win at 7-2 or later and key-boxing exactas with Chris Clement favorite Le Beau (2-1) with Samy Camacho and the Chad Brown-trained Akayla (5-2).
