Marc Lawrence – The LA Rams were left without a first-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft after trading their pick as part of the Jalen Ramsey trade last season, yet felt good about what they were able to accomplish. Los Angeles went from allowing 6.3 yards per pass play over the first six weeks of the 2019 season (16th) to 5.4 (6th) with Ramsey on the field from Week 7 through the end of the season. A quiet Day 1 turned into a busy Day 2, as the Rams had multiple selections in both Rounds 2 and 3 Florida State RB Cam Akers became their top pick in the draft and at No. 52 he was a considered a steal. Akers is used to running behind shaky offensive lines at Florida State, and he’s had some success doing so, as evidenced by his 82.8 rushing grade in 2019. He was a mature, gliding runner at FSU. 2020 PLAYBOOK Football Preview Guide magazine exclusive report: Following a 3-9 effort last year, Scott Loeffler enters his second season as the Falcons head coach. The Bee Gees are frightfully thin on returning experience and were No. 129 in 4th Down Conversion Percentage and No. 127 nationally in Red Zone Offense last season. In fact, only UTEP figures to be an underdog more times this season that does Bowling Green. Worse, only two foes dot the schedule that owned losing regular season records last year. Complicating matters, the Falcons went 42-6 SU the L8Y in games in which they won the stats, and 6-46 SU when they lost the stats.
