By Marc Lawrence — The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to updated COVID-19 protocols for training camp and preseason.
Details: How different will life become for vaccinated and unvaccinated players? NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports on this memo sent to all teams:
Fully vaccinated: No daily testing, masks and physical distancing not required, no travel restrictions, may interact with friends/family during team travel, may eat with teammates and use sauna/steam room, no social/media/marketing /sponsorship restrictions.
Not fully vaccinated: Daily testing, masks and physical distancing required, travel restrictions, may not interact with friends/family during team travel, may not eat with teammates or use sauna/steam room, no social/media/marketing/sponsorship activities permitted.
By the numbers: 16 of the NFL’s 32 teams have over 50% of their roster vaccinated, including three with over 75%. But others lag behind.
Because demanding vaccination shots is unconstitutional, the player’s have a choice: Be an outcast and suffer the consequences, or comply with the league’s COVID-19 protocols?
It’s a no-brainer.
