RIGHT HERE IN RIVER CITY

Mr. Misunderstood will defend his title in Saturday’s Grade 3 River City at Churchill Downs, heading a field of 10 turf specialists in the 1 1/8-mile event. The River City is carded as Race 10.

Mr. Misunderstood, trained by Brad Cox, is seeking his first win this year after close finishes in Kentucky Downs Tourist Mile Preview and the Remington Green Stakes.

Mr. Misunderstood is a Horse for Course, given his 5-4-0-1 slate on the CD lawn. including three graded stakes with a win in last year’s River City.

Mr. Misunderstood breaks from post #4 with regular rider Florent Geroux, who only recently returned from injury, scheduled to ride.

Mr. Misunderstood’s rivals include Admission Office, looking for his first graded win following three graded stakes placings. Brian Lynch has given the call to Jose Ortiz.

Trainer Mike Maker has entered three horses; Bemma’s Boy, Cullum Road and Space Mountain. All horses carry 121 pounds. Completing the field are Emmaus; Blue Sky Kowboy; My Bariley; Get Western and Lascaux.
