The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

By Marc Lawrence, — We’re quite aware of Toronto pitcher Alek Manoah’s out-of-synch mechanical issues. The big right-hander is 6’6” and 260 pounds (and rising) and after an All Star season last year the wheels have fallen off.

He enters tonight’s game at Boston sporting a 7.87 ERA and a 1.89 WHIP in his last seven starts. With 12Ks and 12 BBs in his last three efforts.

With Manoah 0-6 against division foes this campaign and Red Sox hurler James Paxton entering with a 2.25 ERA at home as opposed to a 4.07 ERA away this season, look for the BoSox to improve to 13-3 on Fridays this season tonight.
