By Marc Lawrence, PlaybookSports.com — Don’t look now but despite last night’s loss, New York has won 9 of its last 10 games and are on the verge of cracking the top five as it vies for a top-four spot in the East.
The top spot in this week’s power rankings still belongs to the Milwaukee Bucks even after their winning streak was spoiled over the weekend.
The only change among the top five was the Denver Nuggets swapping places with the Boston Celtics, who have now dropped in consecutive weeks after spending many uninterrupted weeks ranked No. 1. Banging on the door of the top tier is the Knicks, winners of ten in a row, two of which came at Boston’s expense.
