GOING GULFSTREAM – APR 15

Given generational rain in the area resulting in the closure of Gulfstream Park the last two days and more possible on the way this this afternoon, we return with a race already scheduled for Tapeta Track.

Saturday’s eighth allowances-optional has drawn a field of eight going a mile and 70 yards and half of them can win:

Journeytothemoon (8-5) has a worthy (8) 5-3-0 slate over the surface and trip; Midnight Bella (4-1) is making his first start at a reduced level since claimed four starts back.

Further, Smart Spending (9-2) goes for a barn that’s successful with turf to synthetic switches, but we land on Jazzy T (3-1), who drops a notch in this spot.

Hindered by a slow pace last out, Bobby DiBona has a 30% strike rate in LAY-3 scenarios and the mare brings a compelling (16) 6-6-1 resume to the dance on this surface and is 6-for-15 at the trip.

The clincher is 25% success when teaming up with Lionel Reyes resulting in a positive ROI.

We’re taking Jazzy T. to win at 5-2 or greater and key-boxing first and second in trifectas with her three rivals above.
