GOING GULFSTREAM – MAR 3

Looking to end Thursday on a bright note with a very logical runner that is unlikely to be over-bet. That’s the hope, anyway, believable it reasonable to be that the 7-2 quote on Only Time will be available ante post.

The reasons, primarily are three-fold. First, take a look at her last race, a troubled trip vs. better in her first start off Cheryl Winebaugh’s claim and see what you think: Gulfstream Park, FEB 9, Race 3.

Note how she broke out of hand, bumped with a rival and was carried 4-wide into the lane, costing momentum and energy. It was no wonder she remained one-paced in deep stretch yet still moved forward incrementally on the Thoro-Graph scale.

Note, too, that the trainer is an otherworldly 42% effective second time off the claim and today returns to that same level, $35,000.

Sealing it for us is the fact that Luis Saez gets the call. This team wins at a profitable 24% rate. In fact, the trainer is showing a lifetime profit in Hallandale Beach.

We’re taking Only Time to win at 3-1 or greater and keying her in quinellas with properly placed Jamie’s Warrior (4-1) and Tizmet (10-1) dropping in with claimers for the first time.
