By Marc Lawrence, PlaybookSports.com— The L.A. Lakers may have been playing a mile above sea level, but they continued plummeting down to earth as the purple and gold got blown out by a struggling Denver Nuggets team 133-96 on Saturday. It was the Lakers worst loss in 1,075 days.
With the loss, the Lakers are now 21-22 and in danger of falling out of the top eight in the Western Conference. They have allowed 113, 125, 127, 118, and 114 points in the last 5 games – or an average 123.4 PPG.
The good news tonight, however, is that the Lakers are 6-0 SUATS versus Utah when the Jazz are unrested and playing with a winning record.
Let’s see how they respond.
