HRI EDITED RELEASE — Wednesday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Jackpot has reached the $1.85M mark, the Florida Sire Stakes finals will be contested Saturday and Sunday will feature Mandatory Payouts as the Gulfstream summer session concludes.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 was last won on July 6, when one prescient bettor cashed a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.

Saturday will mark the finals of the FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes featuring the $400,000 In Reality for 2-year-olds colts and geldings and the $400,000 My Dear Girl for 2-year-old fillies.

The Saturday program will also include the $150,000 Wildcat Heir for 3-year-olds and up, and five other overnight stakes.

Finally, closing day Sunday will feature mandatory payouts on the 20-cent Rainbow 6, Late Pick 5 and Super Hi 5. If no one hits the Rainbow 6 through Saturday, the pool could be as high as $10 million Sunday afternoon.
