GPW DUELING CARRYOVERS

HRI EDITED RELEASE – For a second consecutive day, there were no tickets with all five winners of the Late Pick 5 at Gulfstream Park West on Monday. The result is a double carryover of $163,572.30 for Thursday.

There was a carryover of $31,618.53 when Late Pick 5 betting started Monday when $206,987 was bet into the multi-race wager. Tickets with four of five winners were each worth $2,404.05.

The Rainbow 6 went un-hit for the 11th consecutive racing day, producing a $127,086.93 carryover jackpot for Thursday’s card. Rainbow 6 tickets with five out of six winners were each worth $3,600.86.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

When last won, the sole Rainbow 6 winner at Gulfstream Park collected $2.2 million on Sept. 27 after going un-hit for 47 consecutive days.
