Race 1
1 CANDELL – Been just okay of late down at The Hold. This is a big step up back to the big track. Will need lot more.
2 TAILGUNNER HANOVER – He’s sharp right now! And, Juan C listed himself to drive, and then switched back to Corey at scratch time. That is a very good sign of positive intent. Will have to deal with faves, but tries to stalk and pounce.
3 IMAGEOFAROCKER – Also razor-sharp right now, so this race does look like a toss-up! The post relief alone will help the cause and Mitch has guided nicely. Both he and #2 will want the same trip. Only one of them can get it. Tuf call. Trainer: Mr. Consistent for the barn right now. Inside post may be the ticket. Sharp right now!
4 MOUNTAIN HIGH – Barn took him down to Freehold for a try and he raced okay. Still a longshot, back here.
5 HAYMITCH – Has very quietly rounded into nice form. That trip for him was a bit too tough last week, but he did not quit. Getting better, so he’s a dangerous price play from this perfect post. Would be hard to leave off the ticket.
6 DUCKIES DYNASTY – Duckie scoots up the Turnpike for a big track try. Not sure he’s fast enough anymore.
7 DAVID THE SAINT – Just one win this year. First time we’ve seen David here in a while. I guess I want to watch one.
8 WATCHMENEIGHNEIGH – What a crazy trip that was a few week ago! So, what do we do with Dexter now aboard? I feel he might get overbet, and the post still hurts. Very mixed feelings with all those breaks on view, Your call?
9 SCIROCCO MISTYSAID – Simon A had a tough call in here and opted for #10 over this one. Could have gone either way. Both geldings raced well last time. For this one, however, that was a month ago. Why the missed time?
10 FOX VALLEY NEMITZ – Can’t fault his current form. Very strong! I will question the post tonight, as he’s had nothing but good starting slots lately. That will make things tougher. Demand a fair price, if you think he can overcome.

Race 2
1 CHIEF ALTAWICK – Scratched out of his scheduled Big M, and Lasix debut, so here we go! It’s the new barn alert and Yogi is good with these “project horses.” I do want to watch one, but will be paying attention for future evaluation.
2 DEERFIELD BEACH – It’s been a while since we saw this veteran here. He’s only got two wins this year. Lots of claims lately. Interesting pickup for T Mac, and he can wake one up! I’d advise using on some tickets if price is right.
3 MAJOR JESSE – Gave it a great speed try two weeks ago. Almost wasn’t fair that he got caught near wire. But, that’s why he owns only one win this year. You take that chance when price is low. Gets better post. Loses G Nap.
4 MR MCDREAMY – Fresh off the claim here. Picks up Dexter, which means automatic underlay price. Horse has shown signs of life here, but yet to put it all together lately. I don’t see much early zip, so he will need a trip to do damage.
5 FINAL JUSTICE – Have to keep this fella on the longshot list. Would need a sudden resurgence of speed. Not likely.
6 COACH CAL – Another invader from the smaller tracks. Recent form just isn’t good enough to win here. I’ll pass.
7 ALL WEEK – Actually took less betting money last time, off at 7-1, and it was one of his better efforts! Made up ground from impossible spot. This post won’t help. Dave may take the gloves off here and send. Just to get around a few.
8 JUNIOR’S DEW – Up from Freehold after recently moving into new barn. They haven’t figured him out yet, so I’ll probably watch one from him too. Especially from this post.
9 CENTURY FERRARI – Finished off a nice Pk4 for me here two back. Stepped up and switched tracks for follow-up and that didn’t work. Back to where he probably belongs, but a real tough post! G Nap’s choice gives confidence.
10 FERNADO – Seems to lack any early zip and will be greatly hampered by this post. Have to take a pass.
