Trainer Aparna D. Battula was suspended Friday by Monmouth Park stewards after she was found with 30 hypodermic needles and syringes and more than 80 vials of injectable substances.
The New Jersey Racing Commission ruling said possession of needles, syringes and injectable substances and acts detrimental to racing and possession of drugs or drug instruments by Battula are in direct violation rules and regulations.
All New Jersey Racing Commission licenses issued to Aparna Battula were suspended as of August 9, 2019. A hearing for Battula, currently serving a 15-day suspension resulting from a dexamethasone positive, will be scheduled.
