By Marc Lawrence, PlybookSports.com — We knew NBA commissioner Adam Silver was pro gambling from the onset.
Back before the NFL and other major sports leagues began wrapping their arms around the money – read: sports books advertising revenue and subliminal messages thereof – Silver was at the forefront of accept legal sports wagering and figuring ways to monetize from it.
Today when you log on at NBA.com one of the titles preset on its menu bar is NBABet.
While not a portal to sports books (yet), it draws viewers into another aspect of sport gambling where the Action Network offers of gambling tips and touts the best bets in the NBA for that day.
So not only has the NBA sold out to the Action Network for gambling real estate space on the website, they are also likely drawing additional revenue from click-throughs off the page to various sports betting concerns.
