GOING GULFSTREAM – MAR 10

The team of Peter Brant and Chad Brown have found an excellent return spot for the Irish-bred import Dr. Zempf for his first start in the U.S.

Proven that he can win when fresh, having won his season’s debut in APR 22, in Leopardstown, it was his first of two turf wins on the year, both at 7 furlongs, including a Group 3.

Debuting here going 7-1/2 furlongs is a perfect fit for the runner who goes as a first-time gelding and is getting Lasix for the first time.

Nicely drawn inside, he attracts Tyler Gaffalione. who is sure to seek good position assuming a clean break as the Dark Angel runner has been working crisply for this at his Payson Park base.

Entered under allowances condition, he faces several claimers in this NX3 optional. In short, he could not have been spotted more suitably.

Taking Dr. Zempf to win, with no price conditions, and boxing an exacta with Call Me Harry, making his second start after being recently haltered by Mike Maker.
