NFL’S ALL-DECADE TEAM

By Marc Lawrence — Nine New England Patriots made the 2010s All-Decade Team (counting all players who played for the Patriots between 2010 and 2019) as reported by CBS Sports. Joining Brady is Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, tight end Rob Gronkowski, guard Logan Mankins, kicker Stephen Gostkowski, linebacker Chandler Jones, cornerback Darrelle Revis, kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson, and wide receiver Antonio Brown (who played only one game with the team). The eight unanimous selections for the all-decade team were Brady, defensive tackle Aaron Donald (Rams), linebacker Von Miller (Broncos), running back Adrian Peterson (Vikings, Saints, Cardinals, Redskins), offensive tackle Joe Thomas (Browns), kicker Justin Tucker (Ravens), defensive end J.J. Watt (Texans) and guard Marshal Yanda (Ravens). To see the complete roaster of 53 players that made the team, click here.

Trading Up For Tua
ESPN reports that two orthopedic surgeons directly involved in Tua Tagovailoa’s hip surgery and recovery indicated that the quarterback would be fully healthy to participate when NFL training camp begins. Know this: The Miami Dolphins are paranoid about not making the same mistake they made in 1999 when they bypassed Drew Brees in favor of Duante Culpepper after Brees appeared a risky pick with a bum shoulder. Look for the Fish to trade up to secure Tua in this year’s NFL Draft, thus completing the circuitous “Tank for Tua” route they offered up at the start of last season.
Grinding Out The Profits
From the 2020 PLAYBOOK Football Preview Guide magazine: When Baylor head coach Matt Rhule took the money and ran for the NFL to become the Carolina Panthers boss he got out of Dodge in times as seniors started 53.2% of games, the sixth largest in the nation, last season. New head coach Dave Aranda, a highly respected defensive coordinator at LSU and Wisconsin, now assumes the reins in the After Matt rebuild of the Bears.
