GOING GULFSTREAM – JULY 28

Friday’s Gulf featured seventh race has drawn seven entrants and two trainers have a pair each.

One of those is Rohan Crichton who tacks up favorite Fortuna Belle (8-5) who had things tough in her latest.

Bumped at the break, her chances didn’t improve when she was rushed up thereafter, prematurely taking the move before understandable tiring.

Meanwhile, Drum Roll (9-2) had her gate issues with the favorite in that same heat but stayed one-paced after battling hard on the lead early.

The filly worked a more than solid half-mile for her return and is expected to be sharper for this making her return at her best trip.

Miguel Vasquez knows her well and might work out an inside stalking trip until he gives the filly her cue.

Taking Drum Roll to win at 3-1 or greater and an exacta box with the favorite.
