The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

The feature that begins the race week in Hallandale is a starter allowances for fillies and mares going as the seventh race, a mile and a sixteenth on the turf.

Three of the eight have the best chance. Judge Judith (5-2) is meeting weaker in her return from a layup; the O’Connell barn is en fuego and Irad gets the call on a worthy favorite.

Miscreant (5-1) appears well spotted with this group and should build on her recent good third in her Gulfstream return, Jose Ortiz taking a return call.

But we’re taking whatever value is offered on Boston Princess (4-1) who overcame a slow pace to win her last on Tapeta track in her second start off the Jose Garafolo claim.

She is a solid (6) 2-1-1 on this ground, is reunited with Paco Lopez, who has ridden her to victory before, and is well suited to today’s trip given her inside draw; most likely to trip out here.

Taking Boston Princess to win at 5-2 or greater and key-boxing exactas with her rivals above.
