As most serious South Florida handicappers know, Saffie Joseph’s young horse very often are better with a race under their belt. Such is the case with feature race favorite Avant Glory (7-5).
The daughter of Khozan rates to be a very tough out Sunday afternoon. After actually winning her racing debut, she returned vs. a tougher set and improved dramatically against the clock when second to impressive winner and subsequent repeater Dan Delivers.
Given sufficient recovery time from that effort–profitable spacing from this barn–the Florida-bred has been working strongly at Gulfstream’s satellite facility Palm Meadows, goes second-Lasix here and Edgard Zayas rides her a third straight time.
