The Conscience of Thoroughbred Racing

It’s hard to imagine that Mike Maker could have found a more appropriate spot for Sinfulicious (4-1) than in the Thursday nightcap in Hallandale.

In her first start for Maker, she once again showed an affinity for the one-mile turf strip over he Hallandale lawn, a comprehensive maiden breaker, always looking the part of the winner.

See if you agree, checking the Gulfstream Park video from APR 23, Race 1, and everything seems to line up for a repeat effort here.

The spacing is excellent and Maker shows confidence with the class rise to the $35,000 where much of the competition are younger three year olds, mitigating the high weight assignment.

Well drawn midfield, Paco Lopez should be able to use her best weapon, stalking positional speed, and any semblance of a repeat effort from her April mile should facilitate and return trip to the winners’ circle.

We’re taking Sinfulicious to win at 3-1 or greater and quinellas with uncoupled mate Basilia (7-2) and competitive-figure returnee and former Maker returnee, Lady Emily (5-2).
