PRICEY BABIES SELL AT SPA

A trio of Curlin colts topped the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearlings Sale Tuesday. Two Curlin colts each sold for $1.5 million, with a third going for $1 million.

A total of 135 yearlings sold over the two-day auction with a gross of $55,547,000, setting a record average of $411,459.

Over 25% of the yearlings offered did not sell with 47, a disturbingly high number, returning to their original homes.
